Canzano: Not my job to police the game

Hall of Fame vote remains messy.

Baseball’s Hall of Fame has 343 members. Included are 270 former players, as well as 40 executives, 23 managers and 10 umpires.

I filled out my Hall of Fame ballot this week. The Baseball Writer’s Association of America allows members to vote for “up to 10” players. So I checked the boxes beside the names of the candidates I thought were deserving and mailed it in.

My vote will undoubtedly be met with scorn.

It usually is.
