Canzano: New era of Trail Blazers begins with a fist bump
This is going to be great theater.
Tom Dundon sat in the middle of his two lead investors on Thursday at Moda Center. Sheel Tyle, a venture capitalist who graduated from Stanford at 19, sat to the majority owner’s right. Andrew Cherng, the 77-year-old czar of the Panda Express empire, was seated to his left.
This is the braintrust of Trail Blazers, Inc.
The Rose Room was filled with local media, a handful of ex-players, staffers, and curious employees at the back of the room. Something became immediately evident to me as the curtain was pulled back on this new era and the ownership group made its pitch.
