The Heisman Trophy went to LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels on Saturday. The SEC won again. Washington’s Michael Penix Jr. finished second in the vote. Oregon’s Bo Nix was third and Ohio State receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. was fourth.

I have a Heisman vote. That’s not how my ballot looked. I have thoughts about what happened, what it means, and why I voted the way I did.
