The Mountain West Conference is closing the loop on its media rights package, sources tell me. Presidents and athletic directors in the league are waiting on signatures from their media partners.
“CBS is in the books,” said one source.

Securing a media rights deal that provides a blend of exposure and revenue is a critical component of the MW’s strategy. Beyond that, a league source told me: “It’s a competition between the Mountain West and Pac-12 — who is the best in the west?”
