I received terrific questions for this week’s mailbag. The best submissions made the cut and got published. Multiple readers asked me about Oregon coach Dan Lanning’s approach to the Washington game this week. I also received questions about the Beavers, Cougars, the SEC, sports photography, the Pac-12’s strategy, Boise State, the best gift I’ve ever received, and weird holiday traditions, among other topics.

This week, a reader asked me this:

Q: What are you most thankful for? — Mark Williams

A: My wife, and three daughters. My parents, who put a typewriter in front of me at age 9, and opened the world to me. I’m also deeply thankful for my readers. I’m grateful for everyone who consumes, subscribes, and shares this publication with others.

I’m thankful for those who buy gift subscriptions for family members and good friends. (It’s a fun and easy-to-deliver holiday gift.) And I’m grateful to all who donate subscriptions to senior citizens.

You’re not just supporting this independent endeavor and allowing me to tell important stories — you’re literally supporting my family.

So, thanks.

Onto the Monday Mailbag…
