Canzano: Mick Cronin's act is a downer
A column on Cronin... the four West Coast Big Ten schools.
I received a text from former UFC fighter Chael Sonnen the other day. It was a video message. Sonnen recorded himself sitting on his sofa in his living room and sent it my way.
He happened to be at a mixed martial arts fight the previous weekend and bumped into a group of guys. Apparently, my name came up.
Sonnen said into the camera, “They had the greatest things to say about you. I just thought you should know. Usually, when someone says something behind your back, it’s not good.”
You know the adage — the best friends are people who would say nice things behind your back. I’ll go further today. A study at Southwest University in Chongqing, China, revealed that surrounding yourself with people who have uplifting, hopeful, and positive mindsets is better than hanging out with chronic complainers.
This brings me to the sad act of UCLA coach and world-champion complainer, Mick Cronin.
