The Pac-12 Conference is facing an existential crisis. It has been reduced to nine schools. The conference has held multiple meetings in the last 72 hours and says it’s focused on getting a media rights done and expanding.
So what’s the play?
I’ll get to that in a moment. First, though, has anyone else noticed that there’s been a serious uptick in “alien” and “UFO” talk in the last week? Discussion on visitors from space is suddenly everywhere. Also, the trolls have come out in full force. I typically ignore these subjects, but I’m opening the gates in a special-edition of the mailbag.
