Canzano: Mailbag deals with Pac-12, Trail Blazers, NFL lunch boxes and simple times
Your questions, my answers.
I had a metal lunch box when I was a kid. I carried it to school with me and pulled it out of my backpack during lulls in class time. I remember studying the helmets of the 28 NFL teams on its side.
That lunch box was manufactured by Thermos in 1976. They sold a million of them. I was delighted this week to learn that the old lunch box is now honored in the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History.
Things were much simpler back then, yeah?
