Canzano: Mailbag deals with Apple TV, curses, Blazers, youth sports, Pac-12 expansion and more
Your questions, my answers.
Sometimes life brings you full circle.
I was in Tempe, Ariz. on a Thursday night in October of 2015 when Oregon’s football team played a wild triple-overtime game against the Sun Devils.
The Ducks won 61-55.
At halftime that evening, then-Pac-12 Commissioner Larry Scott held an impromptu news conference in the ASU press box. Reporters peppered him with the usual questions on why the Pac-12 Network wasn’t yet available on DirecTV. The distribution issue was an ongoing annoyance for fans. Scott brushed off the question, deflecting and instructing reporters to tell their audience to contact DirecTV.
As the media scrum started to disband, I offered Scott a question that had been on my mind.
