Canzano: Indiana's world and we're living in it
How did the Hoosiers do it?
I arrived in Indiana in early September of 1998, hired by a newspaper in the Northeast corner of the state. My first duty was to cover the Hoosiers’ football beat.
I spent the first week as a resident of Indiana living out of a suitcase, at a Motel 6 off the Interstate. My neighbors that week were a sociological experience. Best I can tell it was an assortment of truckers, travelers, and pickpockets.
The IU football team?
It went 4-7.
