Ex-Washington State coach Jim Walden sounds off.
Jim Walden gets up in the morning, reads the newspaper, drinks coffee, and then starts plotting for his next meal.
“I have lunch with whoever I can talk into buying me lunch,” the former Washington State football coach said.
I talked with Walden, 87, on Wednesday for a spell about WSU coach Jimmy Rogers and what went wrong for the Cougars in their 10-7 loss at Oregon State last Saturday.
Walden, who coached at Iowa State as well, also had some interesting words of warning for the Oregon Ducks, who are traveling to play against the Iowa Hawkeyes on Saturday.
