There’s a lot of conversation about the Big 12’s jersey-patch deal with Monster Energy Drink. I’ve done some calling around on that front, and it’s not just fans who are outspoken. The sponsorship and athletics industry is shaking its head as it sorts through this, too.
Washington State fans are still mad at former Athletic Director Pat Chun. No way around it. Chun’s interview on my “BFT Unfiltered” show elicited some harsh feedback from WSU fans. Chun hit on a few things worth discussing further here.
One of the things Chun said about Mike Leach got me thinking about the Oregon Ducks and Ohio State. Dan Lanning vs. Ryan Day. Those two Big Ten programs are national title contenders in football, but are taking very different strategic approaches.
