John,

You may not realize it yet by the analogy of the year of the Snake shedding its skin is more apt than you know. the reason is 2026 is the year of the Fire Horse. Each Zodiac animal is paired with one of five elements: wood, fire, metal, earth or water.

Here is one interpretation of what the year of the Fire Horse brings: The quiet, reflective vibes of the Wood Snake are galloping out the door, and in storms the Fire Horse, hooves blazing and mane on fire. 2026 isn’t just another year on the calendar — it’s a full-throttle cosmic ride, promising a cocktail of chaos, opportunity, and dazzling progress. Known in Chinese as the Red Horse Year, this zodiac event is more than a metaphorical pony ride. It’s an elemental explosion where ambition meets dynamism, and tradition collides with bold, new energy. source: https://me.mashable.com/culture/64498/2026-the-year-of-the-fire-horse-chinese-cultural-meaning-and-why-it-could-bring-chaos-and-breakthrou)

Sounds perfect John - go get 'em.

I might add as a Coug who lives well outside the Pacific Northwest, your show and column are my main source of information on all things Pac-12 and the Cougs. That is why i subscribe. Thank you for what you do.

Hate to lose the radio show. I also hated to see you leave The Oregonian but that worked out pretty well.

Whatever "IT" is, it has to be better than 750AM. That station is so weak it barely comes in on my radio in the car. I didn't want to complain because i like the content of your show but the quality of the broadcast was downright horrible.

By the way, I don't do Twitter, Instagram or TikTok because I'm not going to be a participant in enriching those owners so I won't see you there. It's hard enough to use Facebook because of that owner.

Once you land on your feet inside the "New World BFT," we'll all figure out who has the technology to listen to you and who can't. Then, figure out how we can donate the resources to other listeners who need help coming aboard, if necessary!!

Can't wait to see the new and improved Bald Faced Truth!!!

I owned and operated a small manufacturing company. That's what I did all my working life. I can sincerely state that the greatest satisfaction I had, I'm now retired, from that life was the interactions with people, our employees, our suppliers, our customers. Good on ya' John. We're ready for all you can deliver.

Wishing you the very best!! Have to say I am a better reader than I am at being able to find the same time each day to listen. I can read and reread any time during the day and also save your articles that mean the most to me. However, I look forward to getting the specifics on your new adventure, and I know that your dedication will make it another success. Hope that you and your family have a beautiful Christmas.
