We’re both fortunate. You get to do what you love and we get the best sourced info on our favorite life distractions. Win, win.

Of course we'll follow, John. You've made it personal, opened your journey to us and shared depth and human emotion that's hard to find today. Keep reading, man. Your evolution is notable.

Sounds like a plan, I’m there!

(Personally, I love you in the 12-3 time slot)

Me too. I’m usually done for the day and not in the car after 3:00.

I'll be there, JC. Thanks for being you - and see you on the other side ✊️🙂🙏

Hate to lose the radio show. I also hated to see you leave The Oregonian but that worked out pretty well.

John,

You may not realize it yet by the analogy of the year of the Snake shedding its skin is more apt than you know. the reason is 2026 is the year of the Fire Horse. Each Zodiac animal is paired with one of five elements: wood, fire, metal, earth or water.

Here is one interpretation of what the year of the Fire Horse brings: The quiet, reflective vibes of the Wood Snake are galloping out the door, and in storms the Fire Horse, hooves blazing and mane on fire. 2026 isn’t just another year on the calendar — it’s a full-throttle cosmic ride, promising a cocktail of chaos, opportunity, and dazzling progress. Known in Chinese as the Red Horse Year, this zodiac event is more than a metaphorical pony ride. It’s an elemental explosion where ambition meets dynamism, and tradition collides with bold, new energy. source: https://me.mashable.com/culture/64498/2026-the-year-of-the-fire-horse-chinese-cultural-meaning-and-why-it-could-bring-chaos-and-breakthrou)

Sounds perfect John - go get 'em.

I might add as a Coug who lives well outside the Pacific Northwest, your show and column are my main source of information on all things Pac-12 and the Cougs. That is why i subscribe. Thank you for what you do.

Coug’s looked very good in their bowl game today.

I owned and operated a small manufacturing company. That's what I did all my working life. I can sincerely state that the greatest satisfaction I had, I'm now retired, from that life was the interactions with people, our employees, our suppliers, our customers. Good on ya' John. We're ready for all you can deliver.

Go for it John, hoping it all works out for you👍

Thank you. It means so much to me that so many readers are here. It's the greatest thing ever. I will never forget that.

It will be refreshing to pick up a podcast any time! I knew something was up when Steven moved on and the “best of” was airing ahead of schedule.

Will support fully. Your commitment to REAL independent journalism is so important in the times we are living through. I love you are going in the “legacy pac 12” direction. 💛💚

John, long time self employed finance, valuation and M&A professional here. Doing your own thing is the best life if you have the drive, health, self assurance and confidence etc. I’ve not regretted it and I haven’t worked for a “Company” in 30 years.

Your media self employment will be an extension of your journalistic entrepreneurial endeavors. It’s obvious to me as a like minded soul that you have what this takes

John, never doubt that we are all with you 100%.

Once you land on your feet inside the "New World BFT," we'll all figure out who has the technology to listen to you and who can't. Then, figure out how we can donate the resources to other listeners who need help coming aboard, if necessary!!

Can't wait to see the new and improved Bald Faced Truth!!!

Merry Christmas, everyone!!!

Mark, I appreciate your like to my comment, and know we both wish BFT the best.

Whatever "IT" is, it has to be better than 750AM. That station is so weak it barely comes in on my radio in the car. I didn't want to complain because i like the content of your show but the quality of the broadcast was downright horrible.

By the way, I don't do Twitter, Instagram or TikTok because I'm not going to be a participant in enriching those owners so I won't see you there. It's hard enough to use Facebook because of that owner.

I like the YouTube and the podcast is fine but I did like listening when I was in the car driving, except for the poor reception. Thanks John. I appreciate the comment.
