When I visited Boise State last year for a sit down Jeramiah Dickey said something that stuck with me. The athletic director lamented that his school should never have dropped the Broncos’ baseball program.

The 2026 NCAA Division I baseball season started officially on Friday. Baylor senior first baseman Tyce Armstrong did the unthinkable against New Mexico State, hitting three grand slam home runs in his first three at-bats.
“Coolest night of my life,” he said.
