I’ve got some news for Oregon State — that home-and-home football contract with Ole Miss isn’t likely to be honored. No way in tarnation is a SEC football team coming to Reser Stadium in 2030.

So why bother to play there in 2027?

The Civil War football series won’t be played next season. We knew that. But now OSU says the rivalry that began in 1894 is on hold for at least the next two seasons. This came as a disappointment to officials at Oregon, who told me for months they wanted to keep the rivalry game alive.

Is the Civil War dead?

Or just in a coma?

Asking for a state.
