Canzano: CFP title-game pick... and way-too-early 2025 predictions
Ohio State-Notre Dame... and thoughts on Ducks, Beavers, Huskies, Cougars, and the new-world Pac-12.
I spoke with my pal Bill Rabinowitz this week. He covers Ohio State for The Columbus Dispatch and has been immersed in his beat since last spring.
Rabinowitz hasn’t had a day off in months. He’s on fumes right now. So he filed a story on the Buckeyes around 4 p.m. on Tuesday in Columbus and decided to lie down for a couple of minutes and rest his eyes.
“I woke up 18 hours later,” he told me.
Ohio State plays Notre Dame in Monday’s College Football Playoff national championship game. Rabinowitz will be there. I’ll also be on the scene in Atlanta, along with a photographer, and have coverage of the event for JohnCanzano.com.
Last week, I correctly predicted both College Football Playoff semifinals. I went 2-0 against the spread and undefeated, straight up.
My 2024 record vs. the spread this season: 92-88-1 (.511)
My record picking games straight up: 132-49 (.729)
I’m posting my official prediction for the CFP national title game here. But also offering five way-too-early predictions for 2025 involving Oregon, Oregon State, Washington, Washington State, and the new-world Pac-12.
Enjoy…
