We had lights, cameras, and sound equipment. But I hadn’t thought to bring an extension power cord. So on Monday afternoon, we scrambled about the “Welcome Center” at Reser Stadium, trying to borrow one.
“Any chance you have a power cord?” I asked a front-desk staffer.
“No,” she said, “but we do have a fossilized woolly mammoth bone.”
Oregon State President Jayathi Murthy and Pac-12 Commissioner Teresa Gould agreed to an exclusive 2-on-1 sitdown-style interview with me. The Pac-12 spring meetings are this week on campus in Corvallis.
The rebuilt conference is preparing for the official launch on July 1, and the athletic directors and presidents are in town.
