John Canzano talks with Ron Barker, ex-Pac-12 Associate Commissioner. Barker worked as the Associate Commissioner for Governance & Enforcement of the Pac-12 Conference for 19 years from 2001-2020. He investigated everything and also helped schools defend themselves during NCAA hearings. Barker sat between Pete Carroll and Lane Kiffin at the USC hearings involving Reggie Bush. He was also involved with the Rick Neuheisel/gambling, Varsity Blues, and the ongoing FBI men's basketball cases among others. He was never able to discuss his job over all that time, until today.
